Meet Our Yoga Instructors

Susan Diederich

"I came to Yoga after years of cardio and strength work. I couldn't believe that my aches and pains were part of the "normal" aging process. Yoga helped me regain my flexibility, quieted my aches-both physical and mental-and challenged my muscles. I love sharing its many gifts with my students. I practice and teach Vinyasa Flow Yoga (meaning "movement with breath") and Gentle Yoga, a very gentle and restorative discipline. Most people can do most of the poses, so there's nothing scary about it. I demonstrate multiple levels of each pose so that students can find what works for them. There is no competition, there is no rush. We concentrate on the movement, the moment, our breathing, and ourselves. We treat each hour as a mini retreat, decluttering our brains and honoring our bodies. Try it and see."

Pam Keillor

"During the 32 years that I've been practicing yoga, learning from many teachers and practicing different styles, I have found a passion for Vinyasa Flow and this is the style I teach. Vinyasa means breath to each movement: the breath, the body and the mind become linked. Our practice is a moving meditation that works all parts of the body. My class is a vigorous class, so be prepared to sweat. Wherever you are in your Yoga journey is perfect. There are many levels of students in each class; you do what you can. What matters is that you come and practice."

Iris Pena-Tanner

"My love for Yoga started ten years ago when, no matter how my day or week was going, I always felt 100% better after a yoga session. Over time I have discovered that for most people it is not the particular type of yoga class that matters, but rather the comfort level with the instructor that keeps you coming back. I feel incredibly fortunate to have the honor of sharing my knowledge with club members. It is my goal that each participant feels at ease, nurtured, and slightly challenged during the hour session. Regardless of how you may feel at the beginning of the session, I know that by the end you will feel renewed and happy for having made the effort to come to class."
