Massage Therapists
Nijole Novikas
I was inspired to become a massage therapist by my mother who was both a family physician and a masseuse in Lithuania. She had "good energy" and, like her, I enjoy helping people overcome their difficulties.
To that end, I have 9 years' experience in a variety of massage techniques: Swedish (very relaxing,) Aromatherapy (also relaxing with soothing essential oils,) Reflexology (just the arms and feet-wonderful,) Deep Tissue (for the very active person,) and Sport (for the active and sometimes injured-I can help!) The only way to know what kind is best at any given time is to consult with the client and see what's going on with her.
My goal is to see clients leave me with a renewed sense of well-being. I love what I do!

I suppose I should warn you; good massage is addicting!
I think regular massage is an important part of your whole health routine. It, of course, makes you feel great-relaxed inside and out. But beyond that, it keeps your muscles loose and less prone to injury, it increases your circulation for glowing skin, and it keeps all your body fluids moving to clear toxins and encourage your best health. (I always advise clients to drink lots of water after massage to clear those toxins.)
I've been told I'm a "natural" at massage, and I know I was hooked after my first class. There's the hands-on satisfaction of knowing what I'm doing, and there is the more mysterious part of massage; the way it helps work out emotional pain. No one knows exactly why this should be, but it's such a gift to be part of the healing.

Good health involves caring for the body, mind and spirit. I believe massage therapy addresses all three aspects of good health by increasing body awareness, stimulating circulation, promoting healing and bringing about a relaxed emotional state. I'm pleased to offer my services to the Oasis community.

I am happy to be part of an environment where massage therapy is available in conjunction with exercise. I believe that massage, exercise, and movement therapies focus on maintaining a balanced state of physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being and I am thrilled to be helping people achieve this balance.
